The natural fiber alpaca wool - also known as the fleece of the gods - is soft, warm and breathable at the same time. On the one hand, your pullover made of alpaca wool will keep you warm and on the other hand, it won't make you sweat. A special feature of the alpaca fiber is its noble shine, which makes your women's alpaca pullover shine and gives it a high-quality look. Alpaca wool is a natural fiber that is obtained from the fur of alpacas. Alpacas live in the Andes mountains of South America, in countries such as Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina, and have been bred there for thousands of years for their valuable wool. They live in the high mountains at an altitude of over 3,000 meters. The harsh weather conditions of their habitat have a significant influence on their warm, soft wool, which protects the Andean camels from cold, wind, rain and at the same time intense sunlight. It is important to know that alpacas are bred. This goes back to the time of the Incas, when alpaca wool was reserved for the nobility due to its softness. Alpacas are descended from wild vicuñas and thus inherited their exceptional wool quality. Vicuna wool is the most expensive wool in the world and is offered by high-priced design labels.

Animal welfare organizations such as PETA describe alpaca wool as animal cruelty. The reason for this is the inhumane conditions during alpaca shearing on large farms in Peru and other countries. For this reason, buyers of alpaca clothing should look for wool without animal cruelty certificates. The alpaca wool that we use to make our clothing has been awarded the Responsible Alpaca Standard (RAS), a certificate that guarantees that alpaca wool is obtained in a way that is appropriate for the animals.
A common misconception about baby alpaca is that the wool is obtained from small alpaca babies. This is due to the unfortunate choice of term "baby alpaca". Baby alpaca wool is the finest and softest alpaca wool. It is obtained from protected body parts of adult alpacas and has nothing to do with young alpacas.

Alpakawolle ist pflegeleicht und langlebig.
- Waschen im Wollwaschgang bei max. 30 °C
- geringe Schleuderzahl (max. 600 U/min)
- mildes Wollwaschmittel verwenden
- kein Weichspüler
- liegend trocknen, nicht in den Trockner geben
Dank ihrer natürlichen Eigenschaften muss Alpakawolle seltener gewaschen werden. Oft reicht Lüften an der frischen Luft.
