IWA Alpaca Poncho Blanket for Women

Baby alpaca wool is rarer than ordinary Alpaca wool, as it can only be found on protected parts of the body of Alpacas. The wool has nothing to do with alpaca babies or young animals. Baby alpaca is softer and warmer and is therefore suitable for textiles that are close to the skin.

IWA does require more wool due to its two-colored design, but the model is easier to manufacture as a blanket due to its simple cut. That's why we can offer you this versatile poncho at an extremely attractive price, which will be particularly pleasing for alpaca wool beginners.

The poncho blanket IWA was made by our independent tailor Oscar in Arequipa, Peru. It is part of our philosophy to work with small manufacturers to create truly special garments.

IWA is less practical than ponchos that are traditionally pulled over the head or have a fastener. This model is therefore less suitable for sporting activities, but rather serves as an eye-catcher at dinner or in the office.
